GLUBIBULGÀ (originally Gloubi-boulga) is Casimirus’s favourite meal. It was conceived in a french television studio on september 30, 1974.
But this meal has its origins in the childhood of Christophe Izard… During World War II, he was hosted by an old russian lady. In order to getting him busy, the lady made Christophe mix some sugar with some egg yellows in a bow. She called this preparation the “Goguel-moguel”. After the end of the war and the landing of the americans, French “discovers” chocolate and Christophe invents a very nutritious cake made up with grated chocolate, squashed bananas and strawberry jam. The “Goguel-moguel” preparation inspired Gloubi-boulga’s name, while Christophe’s cake inspired its recipe, slightly improved by the Casimirus’ sauce, prepared with mustard and Toulouse sausages.
Recipe
To mix the following igredients in a bow:
strawberry jam
mature squashed bananas

Here is a video of the preparation (Quicktime format)
More broadly, Gloubi-bulga indicates a formless mass that is sweet and disgusting…
GLUBIBULGÀ - the website - seems to be having a break, but it’s alive and kicking. It will be back soon and it will give you more.
